This Scholarship program is fully funded and sponsored by the United Food and Commercial Worker International Union (UFCW) Charity Foundation.

We are happy to let you know that starting on February 13th, you can apply online for the 2023 UFCW Charitable Foundation Scholarship. The UFCW Charitable Foundation will carry on the more than 50-year tradition of the UFCW International Union of providing scholarships.
Moreover, online applications for the UFCW Scholarship Program will be accepted for the 2023 awards from any student who has graduated from high school or has gotten their GED.

The UFCW Scholarship Program awards financial aid each year to UFCW members or members of their families who want to pursue their education and who can show dedication to their communities and UFCW principles.
The charity has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships since 1958.
Eligibility Criteria for UFCW Scholarship
Below are the requirements to meet to be eligible to apply for this Scholarship:
- Applicants must not exceed 20 years of age and not be married as active members; the children or dependents of active members are also qualified to apply.
- To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates must complete the essay and scholarship application.
- The scholarship awardees will be chosen and awarded based on several criteria, including academic success, involvement in the community, and an essay that demonstrates a knowledge of the labor movement’s tenets.
- When your official grade transcript and Part B form are received by the scholarship committee, you must complete the UFCW Charitable Foundation Scholarship Application Form which is provided after you complete the application online.
- Both must be mailed with a May 28, 2023 postmark or earlier. Remember how long it will take for your school to send you the information.
Benefits of the UFCW Scholarship
- For as long as four years, the recipients will receive $2,000 yearly installments for each year they enroll as non-probationary students in an authorized college or university.
- The recipient’s continuous eligibility as described in the Scholarship Acceptance Agreement must be met before any additional stipends are paid.

- You must submit a family profile, a description of your extracurricular activities, accolades, and employment history, as well as an essay, as part of the application process.
