These specs are great for the two consoles, but this is only one part of the story when it comes to its performance. But we can clearly say that Microsoft did a great job creating more powerful hardware when it comes to the GPU and SSD.

Both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X cost around $500. Since the two systems are very similar, this category would seem to be a tie at first glance. However, it seems like the PS5 and the Xbox Series X are not the only variants available. Also, there is the $400 PS5 digital Edition and the $300 Xbox Series S.

When it comes to Game Libraries, the PS5 and Xbox Series X have different Approaches. The Xbox Series X just Assumes that you pick up the same games you left off on the Xbox One and would want to optimize the performance across the board for all favorites. On the other hand, the PS5 comes with a bevy of exclusive titles that launched alongside its new console – although plenty of them are available on the PlayStation 4, to be fair.

At the moment, it is hard to ignore the fact that the PS5 has a more interesting game selection. The Play Station 5 launched with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon’s Souls, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and the surprisingly delightful Astro’s Playroom.

At launch, the Xbox series X did not have any titles. Instead, Microsoft decided to release a list of 30 “Optimized for Xbox Series X/S” titles, including the fan-favorites like Gears 5, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and Forza Horizon 4. Even though the Xbox Series X optimization was great, none of the games were brand new, and they were both available to Xbox One and PC gamers.

The two consoles also got stocked well with great third-party titles like:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  • Borderlands 3
  • Fortnite
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Madden 21
  • Destiny 2 and more.

Also, Xbox came with the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which offers you over 700 games per month. And at the moment, Sony has no Answer to that. but they teased a new PS Plus Collection that might rival the game pass, and with time we would find out how it does.

For the past 1 year and a few months, there have been situations like which console does better in certain games. Well, when it comes to overall power, the Xbox Series X has more of that to play with, but that does not mean it has the best performance. The PS5 also comes with a faster SSD, but that does not give it a major difference in loading.

Well, we can all say that the two consoles come with great performance, even though the load time on the PS5 is slightly slower than that on the Xbox Series X. the performance of both of them would not disappoint you.

When it comes to the design, this is based on the preference of the user. They both have very different designs which look great. People barely purchase consoles for their design or shape, but if that is what you want check out the two and see the design that suits you the most.

The Xbox Series X controller is very identical to that of the Xbox One model, save for textured grips and shoulder buttons, an improved D-pad, and a new “share” button found at the center. This controller is a great controller and might probably be one of the best ever created. The thing is it still runs on AA batteries instead of an in-built rechargeable unit. And this passes a lot of choices to the users, which is if they should choose to purchase AAs or rechargeable packs.

Now to the PS5 DualSense. The Dual Sense controller happens to be a major departure from the DualShock 4, with a two-tone color scheme and a much bigger grip. The controller also comes with a series of new features which include extremely sensitive haptics and a built-in mic. The DualSense comes out on top if compared to the DualShock 4 which is also a great controller by the way.

Backward Compatibility

Both of the consoles are backward compatible. The PS5 console can play all PS4 titles, but when it comes to the Xbox Series X, you get more. It has always been like this for Xbox consoles, with the Xbox Series X console, you would be able to play Xbox One, Xbox 360 titles, and more.
