Since 2010, qualifying 300-level students studying in Nigerian public tertiary institutions, such as universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, who are enrolled in science and technology-related programs have had access to the flagship program.
Until they graduate, 300 outstanding students each earn scholarships of N200,000.00, provided they continue to meet the required academic standards.
MTN Scholarship for Visually Impaired Students
This scheme, which was introduced in 2012, is intended for qualifying blind students who are enrolled in any course at Nigerian public tertiary institutions, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
A total of 60 accomplished blind students will get scholarships worth N200,000.00 each year until they graduate. Subject to satisfying the required academic standards.
Benefits of the MTN Scholarship
The N200,000 worth of the MTN Foundation Scholarship includes stipends, a book allowance, and tuition reimbursement for each academic session.
Eligibility Criteria
There are some requirements candidates must fulfill to be eligible for this scholarship:
- Students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics at a public university or college of education are eligible to apply for the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS).
- if they maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.4 (Over a grade point of 4.0) or 3.5 (second class upper).
