Female international/DACA applicants who are currently enrolled or accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program at a program supported by MPOWER in the United States or Canada are qualified for scholarships.
The scholarship is based in the US.
The awards for this program are:
- Grand Prize – US$6,000
- Runner-Up – US$2,000
- Honorable Mention a US$1,000 for applicants.
Eligibility
- Acceptance into or enrolment in a full-time degree program at an authorized U.S. or Canadian institution is dependent.
- Being a foreign student with legal permission to study in the United States or Canada.
In order to pursue higher education in the United States, the candidate must fulfill one of the following requirements:
- possesses an active visa that allows you to study in the United States.
- under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program is protected (DACA)
- possesses a green card and resides permanently in the United States.
In order to study in Canada, the candidate must fulfill one of these requirements:
- resides permanently in Canada.
- possesses a current study permit from Canada
