The Foot Locker Foundation is awarding scholarships to 20 student-athletes pursuing the next step in their academic journey.

The Foot Locker Scholarship program is presently taking applications from eligible students and is entirely supported by the Foot Locker Foundation.

Foot Locker Scholarship

This Scholar Athletes program honors student-athletes who excel in their chosen sport as well as in their schools and communities while also demonstrating remarkable leadership skills.

However, all prospective candidates who wish to meet the eligibility requirements must take part in intramural or community-based sports as well as high school sports. They must also be citizens of the United States or have legal permanent residency.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduating high school seniors who are enrolled in a two- or four-year university or community college to pursue an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

After graduating from high school, make plans to enroll as a freshman in a four-year accredited college to pursue an undergraduate degree.
Must take part in intramural, team, or community sports now in high school.
Hold a GPA of at least 3.0.
Be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
You need to provide proof of your citizenship and age if you qualify as a recipient.
Include one video or an essay in your application.
Not work for Foot Locker, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries as an employee, officer, or director, and not be a member of their immediate family.
Fill out an application and submit it before January 30. The deadline for submissions is in the middle of December.

Benefits of the Scholarship

Award scholarships totaling $400,000, with $20,000 going to each student.

Each of the 20 Foot Locker Scholar Athletes will earn a $20,000 college scholarship for their outstanding performance in the classroom, on their sports teams, and in other areas.

Requirements for Scholarship

Applicants have to meet the following criteria to be eligible for the scholarship:

Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.
Be an active participant in intramural or group sports at your high school.
Be a high school senior about to graduate.
Plan to enroll in a two- or four-year university to obtain a degree.
Be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
Demonstrate your dedication to empowering your community.
Candidates must not be an immediate family member of anybody who works for Foot Locker, Inc., an officer of the company, or a director of any of its subsidiaries.

Nevertheless, the Foot Locker scholarship team usually selects and announces the final 20 Foot Locker Scholar Athletes in May / June each year.
